What is Propecia?
A drug used to reduce the amount of male hormone (testosterone) produced by the body. This drug lowers prostate hormone levels, thus reducing the size of the prostate.
DIRECTIONS:
Tablet - Comes as tablet to take by mouth. Do not split, chew or crush them. The tablets and capsules should be swallowed whole and taken with a full glass of water.
Take Propecia exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
STORAGE:
- Keep it in its tightly closed container.
- Keep it out of reach of children.
- Store the capsules and tablets at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).
- Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your medication.
WARNING:
Before taking Propecia, Advice your Doctor and Pharmacist if you have these following
- If allergic to propecia or any other medications.
- If you are taking prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products.
- If you have or have ever had a blockage of urine flow or liver disease.
- You should know that propecia is only for use in men.
If taken by pregnant women, propecia can cause abnormalities in the male fetus. Women who are or may be pregnant should not touch broken or crushed propecia tablets.
