What is Estradiol? It is used to treat vaginal dryness, itching and burning, painful or difficult urination and sudden need to urinate immediately in women who are experiencing or have experienced menopause.
DIRECTIONS:
Tablet - comes as tablet inserted in the vagina.
Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use vaginal estrogen exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
STORAGE:
- Keep it in its tightly closed container.
- Keep it out of reach of children.
-Do not freeze Estradiol
- Store the capsules and tablets at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).
- Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your medication.
WARNING:
Before taking Estradiol, Advice your Doctor and Pharmacist if you have these following
- If allergic to vaginal estradiol, any other estradiol products, any other medications or any of the ingredients in the type of vaginal estradiol you plan to use.
- If you are taking other prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins and nutritional supplements.
- What herbal products you are taking, especially St. John's wort.
- If you have or have ever had yellowing of the skin or eyes during pregnancy or during your treatment with an estradiol product.
- If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding.
- If you become pregnant while using vaginal estradiol, advice your doctor immediately.
